1. Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our working target across secbyte.org. This is a target we actively work toward, not a certified conformance claim: we have not completed an independent third-party accessibility audit.
2. What we have implemented
- Semantic headings and landmark structure on public pages.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, badges and logos.
- Labelled form fields, and error messages presented as text rather than colour alone.
- Visible keyboard focus states and keyboard-operable navigation, menus and dialogs.
- Responsive layouts that reflow on mobile, tablet and desktop, and support browser zoom.
- Colour choices reviewed for contrast on body text and interactive controls.
3. Known limitations
- Some third-party embedded material in course content may not be fully accessible.
- Certain data-dense admin and analytics screens are optimised for larger viewports.
- Downloadable certificates are generated as PDFs; a text alternative can be requested by email.
4. Exam accommodations
If you need an accommodation to sit an exam — extra time, screen-reader compatibility, breaks, or an alternative format — email contact@secbyte.org at least 5 business days before your attempt with a description of what you need. We assess each request individually and confirm what we can provide before you use a voucher.
5. Reporting a barrier
Tell us if something on the site blocks you. Email contact@secbyte.org with the page URL, the device, browser and assistive technology you were using, and what happened. We acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and will tell you our plan and timeline for a fix.
